Emerald Chalet-Whistler

The clients wish to add living space and bedrooms to their Whistler Chalet, which served them well while their 3 boys were growing up and everybody in the family is an avid skier or snowboarder. Now all grown more space was need for their partners and spouses.

There was certainly some structural issues (see images), which needed serious attention and the biggest challenge for this planned addition was the steep slope and accessibility, but fortunately the existing house was on solid bedrock.
