Beach Ave Condo

“I bought my apartment in a heritage building and decided to start from scratch, removing everything down to bare concrete walls. On the technical side, permits were difficult, heritage and strata rules were restrictive, space was limited, coring had to be done for basic plumbing, etc. I wanted very specific functionalities, modern conveniences and yet a resurrection of the heritage qualities that had been removed, except for the facade, by the original developers. The result exceeded my expectations and it would not have been possible without Susanne’s expertise. While client orientated, Susanne held contractors and suppliers to very high standards. Having started the process with another big construction firm before hiring Sensitive Design, I had a glimpse of the troubles that can be associated with home renovations. Thankfully, I found Susanne fairly early in the process and her ability to make her designs a reality through effective project management.I would make a strong recommendation to anyone needing a Designer/Architect with a keen eye for design and creativity combined with a practical ability to see projects through to successful completion.”

Redesigning a 900 sqft apartment, very organized, detailed attention to her personal needs and organized storage space for herself and son. A masterpiece of small spaces, all built-in millwork, relocating kitchen, turning a 1 bathroom, 1 bedroom / den unit into a 2 bathroom, 2 bedroom apartment, bringing in more light and air flow whileworking within the limitation of the heritage building with the existing window openings and building code.
